TitleThe Year in Moons chart from the Ski Lounge, Timberline LodgeDescriptionThe Year in Moons chart from the Ski Lounge in Timberline Lodge. The Native American design elements in the Lodge were not done in consultation with Native Americans. Some designs were taken from Forest Service architect Howard Gifford’s daughter’s Camp Fire Girls Handbook. The Lodge was built and furnished by local artisans during the Great Depression using Works Progress Administration (W.P.A.) and Federal Art Project funds, opening to the public in 1938. It is a National Historic Landmark.TypeStillImageFormatimage/jpegDate1935-1943LocationTimberline Lodge, Clackamas County, Oregon, United StatesSubjectTimberline Lodge (Mount Hood, Or.)Rightshttp://rightsstatements.org/vocab/CNE/1.0/CollectionHistoric PhotographsW.P.A PhotographsTimberline Lodge Photographs
