The Ski Lounge takes up the entire ground floor level of the Head House and has a hexagonal chimney in the center with three large fireplaces. The Lodge was built and furnished by local artisans during the Great Depression using Works Progress Administration (W.P.A.) and Federal Art Project funds, opening to the public in 1938.
