Site of Solomon Smith's House
Description
Solomon Smith immigrated to the Oregon Country in 1832 and was hired by John McLoughlin to be a teacher at the Fort Vancouver school. In the 1840s he settled with his family at this site in the Clatsop Plains to farm.
