Description
Sketch by Paul Keller (a staff artist for the Oregon Journal from 1926 to 1946) of a bear newel post, Timberline Lodge.
The Lodge was built and furnished by local artisans during the Great Depression using Works Progress Administration (W.P.A.) and Federal Art Project funds, opening to the public in 1938. It is a National Historic Landmark.
