Timberline Lodge, Half-Covered in Snow
Description
Timberline Lodge with the roof half-covered in snow and Mt. Hood fully covered in snow in the background. The Lodge was built and furnished by local artisans during the Great Depression using Works Progress Administration (W.P.A.) and Federal Art Project funds, opening to the public in 1938. It is a National Historic Landmark.
