Seth Lewelling House, Milwaukie
Description
The Seth Lewelling House at 10966 SE McLoughlin Blvd in Milwaukie was built by Elisha Kellogg in 1851 and purchased by Seth Lewelling (also spelled Luelling) in 1852. Lewelling was a pioneer orchardist best known for developing the Bing cherry. He was also involved in the founding of the Oregon Republican Party. The house was part of the Historic American Buildings Survey in the 1930s. It was demolished in 1940 and is now the site of a gas station.
