TitleOld Fort Hoskins siteDescriptionFort Hoskins was established in 1856 and abandoned in 1865. It was one of three military forts built to guard and control Native Americans that were forced into the Coast Indian Reservation after the Rogue River War in 1856. The reservation was reduced over several decades and is now the Siletz Reservation. The Fort site is now part of the Fort Hoskins Historic Park, operated by Benton County.CreatorEdmonds, T.
